Lavora Clinic

Tiredness that
rest does not fix.

Fatigue that has lasted months, does not lift after a good night, and has usually been dismissed more than once.

01
What You May Notice

What this
usually looks like.

Patients describe it in remarkably similar terms, whatever the eventual cause turns out to be.

Afternoon collapse

Energy drops sharply at a predictable point in the day.

Effort costs more

Exercise that used to be routine now takes days to recover from.

Thinking feels slower

Word-finding, concentration and short-term recall are harder.

Tests came back normal

You have been told nothing is wrong, and you do not believe it.

It has been months

This is no longer a bad week or a busy season.

02
Clinical Context

Why one answer
is rarely enough.

Fatigue is a symptom, not a diagnosis. It sits downstream of a large number of systems, and in the patients we see it is usually driven by more than one of them at once — which is precisely why single-test investigations so often come back clear.

A mildly low ferritin, a borderline thyroid result and disrupted sleep can each look unremarkable alone. Together they explain a great deal.

Thyroid and adrenal function

Assessed on a full panel rather than TSH alone.

Iron, B12 and vitamin D

Including ferritin, which a standard blood count does not show.

Blood glucose and insulin

Metabolic contributors that precede any diagnosis of diabetes.

Sex hormones

Perimenopause and low testosterone both present as exhaustion.

Sleep quality and architecture

Including apnoea, which is frequently missed in women.

Mood and stress load

Assessed as a clinical contributor, not as an explanation of last resort.

Being told your results are normal is not the same as being told nothing is wrong.

03
How We Assess It

How we
assess it.

A structured sequence, so that nothing is repeated and nothing is assumed.

Full history

A long first consultation. When it started, what changed around it, what has already been ruled out.

Broad biomarker panel

Blood work across thyroid, iron, metabolic, inflammatory and hormonal markers in one draw.

Body composition and vitals

Objective baseline measurements rather than weight alone.

Consultant review

Results read together, by a consultant, against your history — not returned as a portal PDF.

04
Where It Leads

Who would
see you.

This concern is held by Longevity & Network Medicine. If assessment points elsewhere, you are introduced to the right consultant rather than redirected to find one.

05
Connected Care

When more than one
system is involved.

Fatigue is the clearest example of why Lavora works the way it does. Thyroid function, iron status, blood glucose, sex hormones and sleep are not separate departments — they influence each other continuously. When your results sit across more than one specialty, those consultants review them together rather than sending you between them.

06
Questions

Before you
get in touch.

Usually the breadth. A standard panel checks a small number of markers; ours covers thyroid, iron including ferritin, metabolic, inflammatory and hormonal markers together. Results are also read against your history by a consultant, rather than flagged only if they fall outside a reference range.

It might be, and stress is a genuine physiological contributor rather than a dismissal. But it is a conclusion we reach after assessment, not before it.

Blood work typically returns within a few days. Your review consultation is scheduled once results are complete, so that the conversation happens with everything in front of us.

No. You can book directly with any Lavora specialty.

Nothing on this page is a diagnosis. An assessment is how you find out what is actually happening.

This page explains how Lavora approaches a concern. It is not a diagnosis and does not replace a consultation.
